(phew, that was a long bunch of words). isn't it obvious that the voting system is flawed right from the start? isn't it obvious that a commercial ploy underlies the voting system, designed to appeal to teenage girls and inevitably kick out the not-so-cutey-cutey-cute singers? and as the oh-so-indignant viewers (those who claim that singaporeans are deaf while conveniently forgetting their own national identity) flood the magazines with angry letters, i bet singtel and mediacorp are laughing their way to the bank already. and anyway, my gut feeling tells me that these almighty proponents of justice don't even vote. and so if the teenage girls that vote for joakim are 'deaf', then are the joakim-detractors supposed to be 'hand'-icapped or erm, fingerless? or maybe they are still using pagers and hi-cards. im not denying that joakim croaks....but si is n-o-t talentime... yawn. it just gets pretty amusing when u see the forums filled with heated threads on how mathilda doesn't deserve to leave yadah yadah... and. jay's 7th album will be released come 8/9. wonderful. the most unapt of dates. the collaboration with fei yu qing was super-cheena, but being the unabashedly biased fan that i am, i love it. i love the sound of the er-hu. it just evokes those wistful, longing emotions. something like the violin. tugs at the heartstrings. |
