comic sadism, or so i call it, pleases me so. there seems to be a pattern of responses for those who are unfortunate enough to have experienced my atrocity:

1)i utter something ridiculous
2)nobody laughs because it's way too ludicrous for comprehension
3)yet i laugh so hard like as if it's the joke-of-the-millenium
4)THEN everybody starts laughing because they see me laughing as something so plain unbelievably stupid.

today, i bought a stick of coca cola haribo sweets from the TJ bookshop (which specializes in books, uniforms, printing services, stationery and also extortion)
i then went on to dangle it in front of xinni. xinni being the defenceless bimbo, could not resist the temptation of a chewy sweet.

"xinni you want?"
"want!!"
"must say password"
"what?.."
"the circumference of my eyeballs is 29 metres"
(xinni chuckles while i am already in stitches)
(coyly)"the...circumference of my..eyeballs..is 29 metres!!"
(xinni earns a chewy haribo sweet)

LOL. oh yes. the gist is as simple as this: i have gladly found a new way to cheapthrill and amuse myself. hahaha. it's official: my sense of humour is warped.

another person who has unfortunately succumbed to my pervertic ways today is luboobs. during our slacking session in the hub, i wldnt budge to let her know the url of the NUS site until she said,

"my eyelashes are 77 centimetres long"

LOL. i swear i laughed like as if i had 1 gallon of laughing gas within me. even when i think of it in the shower, it's still equally amusing.

other "classic" lines of absurdity
"i have ovaries in my head"
"my fallopian tubes extend outwards from my ears"
"i have 97 eyeballs"
"i have 18 nostrils"
"i have 4711 strands of hair"

NOTE: if images similar to -_-" , -_-||| or -____-' are currently floating through your mind, congrats, you are mentally sane. it just goes to prove the accuracy of the aforementioned pattern of responses i have deduced from experiences... LOL

ok. im done dealing with absurd blogging. i shall move on to sane things in life now. erh, shall not mention anything bout orientation though

caught maia's performance last sunday. blame it on the half filled SCO auditorium, bad lighting and comfy cushion seats, the explosive atmosphere i wld associate with maia performances was just not there. owell, i enjoyed her performance though (remember im biased?) whatever she lacks in her vocal techniques, she makes up for it in her sassy spunky personality...

Emcee: what are the songs you're gonna sing?
Maia: (with a wave and a shrug resembling xiaxue's infamous 'bah' pose) i'll introduce them later!

so fiesty! she's the splitting image of christina aguilera. in my opinion, stars really don't need to be coated with (or name their albums)honey to sell!

by the way, i'm ashamed that i find one line of "honey" catchy.

LOL. sorry for sounding so sour. it's quite the aftermath of my kbox experience. as a fan of predominantly english pop, i feel discriminated at kbox. hahaha. their mtv for english songs, you either settle for buxomy women prancing around lakes while you sing sentimental songs like i turn to you.. or if you want smth less racy, images of worshippers praying at temples while u try to groove to the beat of lady marmalade. LOL. ok. enough said.

on another note, JAE feels like a cruel game MOE has implemented for us all. i seriously think the first three months system ought to be scrapped albeit other advantages like being able to choose another jc or subject combi. (im glad it has been) why let "all things build up only to tear them down"? it has caused so many disruptions to our social lives. yet somehow im glad this is the last batch to bear the brunt of the drawbacks of JAE. whatever it is, good luck to those seeking greener pastures. and hopefully those who have to leave will adapt to a new JC soon..

short (and of course sweet) one tonight before i catch some badly needed zzzs.

taking fan fervour to new heights, jason has kindly set up a brand new forum for maia at ...

http://maialee.myfirstforum.com !!

this forum started just yesterday and is starting to gain momentum with its active posts already! fellow maia and tyrese fans, display your adoration and affection for maia and tyrese there! See similar responses from fellow fans and be comforted by the fact that maia's legion of fans hasn't really shrunk that much since SI! (thanks to her unintentional/well-schemed publicity stunt, as well as various exposures here and there) So.. maia fans reading this, go to the forum now! Make it a bustling scene and show ur support!

haha ok. outright advertisments aside, im going to see maia in real life this SUNDAY! yeahhh. at the NUS Talent Quest 05, where maia will be guest-judging and performing. whoo. tickets cost a hefty $16, but owell, i think i'll be guaranteed a night of high-end entertainment, so i guess i shall cast the price factor aside. though the spotlight is on maia, im also looking forward to seeing the talent quest participants perform. i believe they shld all be talented people to have come this far. so im really anticipating it.

gotta rise early tmr for CCC. tata.

new template! at last!
i've stuck to the previous template for more than a year cos i couldn't find a good enough substitue for the blooming yet strangely melancholic sunflower. but now, i've found the closest-to-perfect picture to replace that sunflower everybody's asking me to take off.

credits go to jason. lol. sorry for making you redo my template 4 times. my embarrassment just might spur me on to self-improve and equip myself with some html skills. ;) thanks a zillion anyway!

im totally in love with my pic. hehehe. aguilera's drooping (rebonded-looking) fringe is like... just cool. timberlake's there to enhance her frosty look, but he by himself doesn't stir up any emotions or whatsoever in me. hahaha. im obviously very biased.

argh! this template is freakin cool now! thanks jason!

TEMASEK IDOL WAS SPLENDID! actually, i walked into the auditorium with a preconceived notion that all school-based "idol" events are always organized haphazardly and unprofessionally. boy, was i proved wrong! the whole audi was charged with energy and some of the performers were seriously good enough for singapore idol! (save for the sore, unwitty LAG duo)

i had nothing but admiration for the soloists when the whole thing ended. it felt as if.. if i were to bump into one of them on the roads, i'd be starstruck and left momentarily speechless. songxia's rendition of i turn to you gave me the chills. i think she managed to capture the essence of the classic christina song, which many performed and flopped unceremoniously on the climax note.

for the one who i can "RUUUUUUUUUNNNNN TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

it's a big pity that the power note got partially drowned out by the audience, who all went into a frenzy as soon as she managed to hit the "RUN" note with so much resonance. the 2nd half of the power note was like..left to our imagination. lol. nevertheless, i voted for her.

i was also, really really impressed by charles's gifted ability to beatbox and sing simultaneously. for a moment i thought my ears were playing tricks on me. lol. if singapore idol were a beatboxing competition, he wouldn't have been ousted so soon! haha..

there was one funny comment that almost sent ye pi gu to stitches. while smooth operator gladwin was giving his sentimental rendition of something stupid, some guy at the back quipped unabashedly:

"i think i'm turning gay!!~"

LOL. that was the extent of the impact of gladwin's emotional rendition on the hearts of homophobic guys. [assumption made, but u get my point!] even callous miss mok went all bothered and flustered. "if he sang like that to girls, he'd nab all of their hearts!~~" hahahaa...

but, unfortunately the otherwise wonderful performances were flawed by a certain duo group which i think, are better cut out for contests like 30 seconds of fame in kids central. it's not a sin to not harmonize, nor is it one to crack twice onstage. but it gets irksome when they try to refute the judges' comments so desperately when most people will admit that the judges are right. -_-

"we don't wanna be too gay u know"

ditto the judge, that has gotta be the stupidest thing i've heard in my life.

if u can't rebutt in style, don't ever try... *rolls eyes 360 degrees*

the other contestants were all so gracious.

all in all, i loved Temasek Idol! looking forward to TI2005!

lol i just wished hulu a 12-days-belated happy birthday. haha guess i was too bogged down by other stuffs to remember. i am guilty lah. hahaha. oops. rayner are u reading yet? lol. we still owe poor hulu 2(or is it 3) years worth of presents!! haha..

watched a very very abstract play yesterday. unlike others, i was left uninspired and intellectually inferior. hahaha, guess the mood just didn't set in for me. i hope this isnt the case for the subsequent plays!~

hi world!

im gonna blog bout my o level results finally! yes, i am a lagger. what else to expect of from a widely-regarded-as-p2 mentality anyway? lol..

although i didnt manage to hit my dream l1r5 aggregate (the mighty s-i-x), i still managed a satisfying-enough 7 points, a one point leap from my prelims. however, being the brooder that i am, i still bear a big grudge towards my b3 for combined humanities! it really isn't my ego, but a fall from 85points to a measly b3 was way out of my expectations. it was a big blow, really, especially when my decision to take geography 'A' stemmed frm my confidence i derived from good grades in past combined humanties exams. BAH! major grievance!

fortunately there are always the surprises that accompany the pitfalls.

i have never imagined that i wld one day include PHYSICS for computation of l1r5. but owell, if TKSS has students falling from a2 to d7 in english, nothing seems impossible with cambridge exams.

yeah, i really think that the reliability and transparency part is dubious. not that i mind if dubiousness works to my favour though. ;)

for the a2 in physics, i wld like to thank mr ang my physics tutor for his incredible patience when coaching a physics retard who takes a nor gate for a nand one.

for the a1 in higher chinese, i wld like to thank lee lao shi for her informative notes and incessant pressurizing. not forgetting her sharp foresight and all...

for the a1 in amaths and emaths, i wld like to thank mr ng for the confidence he injects in us all. seriously i think he's the most fab maths tcher ive ever came across. its actually quite a pity tt the mavis class sizes are soooo huge.. (huge as in, a tuition grp consisting of more than 100 students. exclusively in mavis bedok haha.. cos of overwhelming popularity of tutor)

for the a1 in chinese literature, i would like to thank MYSELF for the braincell-killing regurgitating work ive survived through all the sleepless pre o-lvl nights. well done zt, *pats myself on my shoulder*

and no, no acknowledgements towards anyone who's supposed to be my clit teacher in ahs. :P

next station: A LEVELS.

alright enough of academic work.

scg32/05's bbq at trina's house was A MIGHTY B-L-A-S-T! lots of people attended, and the class dynamics were simply fabulous. one of the best bbqs i've ever had. =)) partly because i wickedly excused myself from the dirty charcoal jobs, leaving all that to lovable liuzhen. haha. *feigns guiltiness* LOL. and the bbq site was so atmospheric! people yakked, laughed, screamed and.. scandals bred! holding our scandalous conversations under the dimly-lit lamps and all..

scg32/05 conglomerates! don't understand? ohrrr (wags fingers naggingly in a p.sch style) ~~never pay attention to miss j's classes!~~~

watched hitch yesterday with buttocks lye and hottie too, too (haha sorry! ur name is so pun-worthy!) it was pretty nice.(read: i could understand the plot)save for the slapstick, i think the characters are amusing. and hitch is charismatic. if will smith could really pull of such intelligent (smetimes evn mindboggling)quotes in real life, girls wld have to queue up to get a piece of him.

went walking aimlessly at bugis with fellow saobaos in bugis just now!.. haha.. took stupid neos. if u know me well enough, you'd know that this simply means that i put on ugly poses again! hahaha.. i love ugly poses. ugly poses are so........ kawaiiiiii nehhhh(increasingly-high-pitched)hhhhh!

hope that our scg remains intact after JAE!

and why the wish to seek greener pastures when the current pasture is already green enough fr comfort? insatiable nature or the thirst for challenges? whatever it is, good luck gf for ur studies in HCI...

=) ecstacy. performed within expectations. im jus totally disheartened by one of my fav (and pet) subject, dearest combined humanities. damn. that b3 makes me question my fervour for geography.

sooo busy.

blog in detail later.

neh-o,
congrats for ur hard-earned a1 for chinese too. lol your chinese is freakin neh-o now
hottie,
let's rejoice in the 7-pointers' club! =D
ye pi ku,
ur compensation for being left out of the O levels results release excitement will be due tmr at 1245pm. mmm suspenseful...

=D
