no, i don't actually have an uncontrollable urge to exterminate teenage girls
Hi, i can be boring sometimes. And i often sound evil to conceal life's banalities. But i really am a kind and peace-loving creature. That despite the URL. |

TEMASEK IDOL WAS SPLENDID! actually, i walked into the auditorium with a preconceived notion that all school-based "idol" events are always organized haphazardly and unprofessionally. boy, was i proved wrong! the whole audi was charged with energy and some of the performers were seriously good enough for singapore idol! (save for the sore, unwitty LAG duo) i had nothing but admiration for the soloists when the whole thing ended. it felt as if.. if i were to bump into one of them on the roads, i'd be starstruck and left momentarily speechless. songxia's rendition of i turn to you gave me the chills. i think she managed to capture the essence of the classic christina song, which many performed and flopped unceremoniously on the climax note. for the one who i can "RUUUUUUUUUNNNNN TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" it's a big pity that the power note got partially drowned out by the audience, who all went into a frenzy as soon as she managed to hit the "RUN" note with so much resonance. the 2nd half of the power note was like..left to our imagination. lol. nevertheless, i voted for her. i was also, really really impressed by charles's gifted ability to beatbox and sing simultaneously. for a moment i thought my ears were playing tricks on me. lol. if singapore idol were a beatboxing competition, he wouldn't have been ousted so soon! haha.. there was one funny comment that almost sent ye pi gu to stitches. while smooth operator gladwin was giving his sentimental rendition of something stupid, some guy at the back quipped unabashedly: "i think i'm turning gay!!~" LOL. that was the extent of the impact of gladwin's emotional rendition on the hearts of homophobic guys. [assumption made, but u get my point!] even callous miss mok went all bothered and flustered. "if he sang like that to girls, he'd nab all of their hearts!~~" hahahaa... but, unfortunately the otherwise wonderful performances were flawed by a certain duo group which i think, are better cut out for contests like 30 seconds of fame in kids central. it's not a sin to not harmonize, nor is it one to crack twice onstage. but it gets irksome when they try to refute the judges' comments so desperately when most people will admit that the judges are right. -_- "we don't wanna be too gay u know" ditto the judge, that has gotta be the stupidest thing i've heard in my life. if u can't rebutt in style, don't ever try... *rolls eyes 360 degrees* the other contestants were all so gracious. all in all, i loved Temasek Idol! looking forward to TI2005! lol i just wished hulu a 12-days-belated happy birthday. haha guess i was too bogged down by other stuffs to remember. i am guilty lah. hahaha. oops. rayner are u reading yet? lol. we still owe poor hulu 2(or is it 3) years worth of presents!! haha.. watched a very very abstract play yesterday. unlike others, i was left uninspired and intellectually inferior. hahaha, guess the mood just didn't set in for me. i hope this isnt the case for the subsequent plays!~ |
