HELLO WORLD. my blog has been semi-abandoned.. at least for the last 7 days. lol. i have so much to say about orientation and TJ, it's almost impossible to cram all my sentiments into a blog entry. in fact i don't even know where to start with.

mingling with a sea of acquaintances can prove to be pretty awkward. lol.. i can't seem to probe or talk about anything further than the standard "where are you from?", "which stream are you in?", "what combi are u takin", "what cca u joinin?". and after the standard questions, it'll be a nerve-racking job to dig up more topics if u wanna break the ice further.

the last thing i remembered, making friends isn't so much of a technical & formulaic chore. it's supposed to be built up naturally. hypocritical enthusiasm dies out in awhile. so right now, i've figured out that neither zealousness nor downright impassiveness will do me any good. so AIYAH. let nature take it's own course. if i shall settle with few people to talk with in my CG, then so be it. who says one has to depend on friends to make him happy? contentment in life can be seeked through other means. fret more, get caught up in the vicious cycle of self-sympathy and self-rejection, and more problems pile...

talk about "innocence lost". i've lost my spontaneity in talking probably bcos alot of people seem to be on guard now, including myself. no more of free spirited trash talking as and when u want (e.g. hahaha u stomachache? periods come ah?!) cos everyone assumes/wants to assume maturity. in all honesty, i wld very much prefer "HAHAHA. your face looks like a cockroach and you are so freakin neh-o" to "ei ei, tjc got what chio bus ah? u noe *** in dhs? neh-neh damn big"
yes, people grow and soon they can't control their libidos, but to rave and swoon over "chio-bus", get all hormonal and engage in convos in the vein of that is just so un-me. i belong to a minority grp who'd rather cockroach here and banana there, thus explaning why i can never break the ice with guys with full-fledged hormones in action.

owell, this is jc life ain't it? next up.. tonnes of BGRs, scandalous sexual affairs, more segregation between the guai-kia clan and the pai-kia anti-nerd clan. lol, this is what i really forsee. and i don't wanna hafta tediously adapt to everything. in essence, i don't wanna grow outta my cockroachy sec sch days. and that is. so. freakin. possible.

i know it's too early to air all my pessimism 5 days into jc life. but it's not as if there are no redeeming points.

i like the lecture/tutorial style
i like the cg/sg style
i like the freedom we're allowed
i like being able to specialize in our subjects of interest
i like the canteen food
i like the last 3 days of orientation but this has no relevance anymore. lol.
... more to discover ahead...

renaissance night was so cockroach. hahahaha. ok cockroach means fantastic here. programmes were tight. crammed seating = atmospheric cheering. i cld finally feel a lil' of the tj spirit i've never felt for the past few days. then, i felt as if people forced enthusiasm onto me. (made to yell "we are the best so u better nt mess" within the first hour in the school.. obviously no emotional attachment yet) but overall, i think the SCs did a gr8 job at organizing & coordinating tasks. LOL, all that mass dances, games, outings, cheers, decos - seem like one mammoth task i cld've never accomplished.

next week is basically there for people to slack their days away. which is good. =)

decided on my combi: LEP / Geog / Econs / C.Maths

the cmaths part, i feel compelled to take it. i have no other choice (tho i'm an arts student). so ive enrolled in mavis to reinforce all teachings in sch. bah.....bah....bah.....more calculation misery on my way.
