l1r5: 6 or 8, cause for celebration either way 6..provided what mr yeow said about being able to take all 3 languages with english as an L1..is true which i kinda doubt, but since that case is to my favour, im more inclined to sink into a denial sort-of thing...ya know.. like YES OH YES IT IS POSSIBLE TO TAKE THREE LANGUAGES IN MY L1R5. but those words came out of mr yeow weng kim the HOD of science. but then again he's kinda the infamous verbal rubbish spewer. example of him spewing inane crap: me: mr yeow, why do ions get discharged at the positive electrode? yeow: (NOTE: THIS IS A SUPPOSED ANALOGY MEANT TO FOSTER MY UNDERSTANDING)-- why ions get discharged? ask urself why u go to school for?? SURPRISE: combined humanities i thought it was doomsday when i mistook a whip in SS cartoon for a freakin fishing line and inferred all about a fishing line...without a fishing hook and bait that is. wheee although i didn't ace this usual pet subject, egeog was good enough to pull my c.humans up to 85! YAYYYNESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. marking was very lenient i admit. but i was very very lucky for egeog. CHEERS!!! :):):) SURPRISE: physics practical sheesh. complacency for this one. hopes were all dashed with a dismal 19/30 for this practical. mediocre mark and to think i wanted to bank on physics prac to save my flaggin physics. PUBLIC DECLARATION: I GOT C6 FOR PHYSICS AND I HEREBY DECLARE THAT I HATE PHYSICS TO THE CORE. BOOOOBAAAA!!! TREND: gap between eng and chi is narrowing every semester. syllabus then and the lack of competition (read: no inhumane chi scholars) allowed for monstrous marks like 93 in sec 1 hahahahahaa BUT that was then this is now. expanded syllabus plus stiff competition plus decline in personal standard has reflected (-)vely on my marks. hcl has since dropped 13 marks to 80. DEF. NOT THE BEST I CAN GIVE. but on the other hand english has been slowly gettin the boost to a very lucky 75 this prelims. congratulate me. heh heh heh DISAPPOINTING: amaths..chem (practical)..physics..i wish i could ban these subjects and transform them into 3 more humanities hahaha.. sucks. riight. sucky things are not worthy of finger-energy-wasting elaboration. its b3 b3 c6 respectively. EASY PEASY: emaths this exam was chicken feet duck feet goose feet. not that im resistant to easy peasy papers. all the more welcomed. i heard in 4E 30 ppl got a1. very good morale booster. has a calming effect esp. when distributed right after amaths paper. appreciate emaths very much thankew. (no sarca) LOVIN' CHI SCHOLARS: influx of horrendous chinese scholars could only mean three things: 1) better academic results fr the school. 2) stiffer competition in all subjects except english 3) the tendency for some chi teachers to overlook talents lurking in the sg lots. the tendency for some chi tchers to start displaying biasness w.r.t marking styles (esp impressionistic styles)since it is so rooted in some that they are oh-so-mighty perfect example: mr tan ik ching loves showering praises towards chi scholars be it w.r.t attitudes..marks..or intelligence.. it cld either prompt us to work harder or demoralize us altogether. unfortunately i don't think such bringing-us down words actually motivate us. V OR T? VJ arts stream or TJ arts stream? im torn. (not love torn, more like college-torn. heh). V's a change in environment while T screams ahs ahs ahs ahs ahs ahs ahs!!! competition in V is tougher too. dknow. help me decide man. right ultimately. there's still the big Os looming ahead. shall not allow fr complacency or procrastination. sighh hvnt devised a revision plan. maybe i'll start revising non-intensively with effct frm 1 Oct. leave the mentally draining midnight-oil-legs fr mid oct onwards. wishlist: O levels L1R5: 6-7 (lol prelims have kinda raised the bar..)
