first off:

NEW SINGLE ALERT:
CHRISTINA AGUILERA F/ MISSY ELLIOT - CAR WASH (OFF A SHARK'S TALE OST)

DEBUTED ON US RADIO STATIONS TODAY. HOLYMOLY. SOMEHOW I GOT THE MP3. IT REALLY IS PWEDDY CATCHY. GROWING FAST ON ME. ANYONE INTERESTED, JUST IM ME!

this entry is so gonna be situational-writing style:

sunday: ashlee simpson showcase @ sg.skating park
intimate at best, too small a location at worst. i don't really fancy intimacy in this sense but on the flipside we get less mobs of 5566 style crowds. nevertheless, explosive atmosphere. live band was playin real hard. sends the waves of vibes right into up the heart, which is cool. ashlee was real spunky, looked intelligent (read: says no to mices). exudes angst at all times. (uuumaakkeemeewannnaLALALALA)jetblack hair complemented her rock-chic style. colours do matter, see how blonde complemented jessica's ditzy image. lol. in case u didn know, i officially proclaim that i am an ashlee simpson fan. its the transition period where xtina's outta da scene - all my giggly-schoolboy-idolizing-energy wld be wasted if i didn shift my focus. but its a temporal thing. i stay faithful.

sunday: heow angmoh girls @ sg.skating park
crowd turnout was 30-40% caucasian teenage girls. bared bellies, dangling earrings plunging necklines, cleavage, cleavage, cleavage. is that a bad thing? i don't judge. it was more of a "cultural" shock. they exude so much confidence and superiority. they jus have this natural 'x-factor" thing. sgporean teens only have a-w and y, z factors.(there are no 'better factors') there's so much contrast between us two parties:

- mtv official gives out free mosh pit passes
angmohs: squeals with excitement while dashing thre like bees to honey
sgporeans: sit there, calm and composed, satisfied with 2nd class standing positions
- concert ongoing
angmohs: banging heads, flailing arms
sgporeans: stand there mouthing the lyrics, no expressions
-mtv camera swings by
angmohs: screams for a chance on tv. makes big gestures for limelight
sgporeans: dont film me!

im dknow which are the better reactions, i guess there are no better reactions either. without a doubt i fit into the second categories. anyone feels bouts of inferiority because of this? hmm. chinese and caucasians are really worlds apart.those girls were so..what u wld consider 'heow' in sg culture, but i guess it jus runs in their colour. natural heow-ness. heow. meow. rhymes

monday: 2.4km re-run @ east coast park
im gonna pass. im gonna pass. im gonna pass. im gonnnna passsss. cliche as it sounds, looks ARE deceiving. saw buffed and tanned guys walking at the fourth station already. i blieve i clocked around 13 minutes. a pass will do really. and runs totally suck. i hate em. i wonder how im gonna survive hellish ns

monday: belated bdae present: ashlee simpson's autobiography!
i recall how i was slamming ashlee for her typicality when i first heard pieces of me 3 or 4 months ago. fickle huh? out and proud ashlee fan currently. (i make myself sound like someone who just came out of the closet.) she reminds me of equally-angsty avril. hope she doesn lose her appeal by the time her sophomore album comes. avril went that way unfortunately. lol

wednesday: stress management course @ AIR CON HALL
zero usefulness. totally inapplicable skills taught. oh, plan your timetables, set your goals. how many times have we heard the same so-called advices over and over again. reality bitess. necessity of timetables is obvious and they cant be strictly followed anyway, so why bother dwelling on norms and obvious statements. stress relieving exerices were more like pri sch aerobics. and the sticking-out-tongue strategy to relieve FACIAL TENSION is r.i.d.i.c.u.l.o.u.s. try that in frnt of friends and try not becoming a laughing stock. thats exactly what the instructor became. whahaa.

thursday: mangtangs on tables @ 4B
walked past 4b on the way to orals and saw two mangtangs standing on tables. LOL. totally attention-attracting. picture a 38strong class sitting down with the exception of two extra peeps standing awkwardly on tables. hilarious. sorry i couldn contain my laughter.

singapore education system
read on someone's blog about how it was too rigid for comfort. question is, how flexible do u think it can be w/o crossing the limits?
"after completing education, we are streamed into the workforce, where we fight to survive..xxx"
so u're against being streamed into the workforce? where else to you wish to be streamed to then may i ask. to some village farm in lim chu kang to plant vegetables and get on with life like a shifting cultivator? in fact, where other options are there. working is mandatory if we wanna get on with life, obviously.
"look at how many millionaires are there with academic qualifications. look at that creative tech guy"
that was pretty much an exception. academic qualifications are pre-requisites to good jobs, where u climb good career ladders and land urself in a job that feed ur wallets fat. unless ure venturing into businesses, where is one to stand with just creativity alone. and how is it even possible to access and judge your so called creativity based on nothing. there has gotta be qualifications that reflect on that attribute. subjects like sci and maths and proj work DO require flexibility. and good academic qualifications reflect it. so if u have creativity, display it (if u can) on ur schoolwork?!
like it is so easy to fix policies to please all. stop complaining already and just adapt to it.. Rigidness is not a totally bad thing cos ppl stray away less from their focus with fixed moulds ready. And flexibility is not a totally good thing cos people abuse it and go out of control.
in fact, is the system all that rigid? i don actually see how.

sat at kfc with the 2 organs today. as usual, indulged in cheap-as-ever thrills like asking for 22 packets of chilli sauce frm the counter etc.
an organ day is a cheapthrill day
i didn get to do cheapthrills, but i was thrilled watching the cheapthrills one after another. lol. hulu licking chilli sauce off her hands was enough to leave me in stitches. reallyyy

such a long entry. whee.
